David Robson

A graduate from University College London, he helped establish new School of Architecture at the University of Colombo. He was the principal housing architect for Washington New Town, UK, in 1970s, and in the 1980s, worked as a planning adviser on the Sri Lankan government’s housing programme. A professor at the University of Brighton until 2004, Robson has authored books on low-cost aided self-help housing and monographs on Sri Lankan architects Geoffrey Bawa and C. Anjalendran.
