Writer, curator, consultant, and urbanist, Martha Thorne is passionate about cities and how architecture, urbanism, and other disciplines can collaborate to make cities more livable and sustainable for all. Currently working as an independent consultant, she facilitates important competitions, research, events, and other activities in the fields of architecture, design, and cities. She has served as Senior Advisor to the H. F. Obel Foundation, Dean of IE School of Architecture & Design, and Executive Director of the Pritzker Prize from 2005 to 2021.
