The Architect and the Painter: In Response to Eames takes the Eames film of the same name as its point of departure, reflecting on the dual roles of making and seeing, structure and sensibility. Using it as a starting point and acknowledging their contribution to architecture and design pedagogy, Kulapat Yantrasast and Paul Goldberger reflect on their own lived positions within architecture, one shaped through the act of building, the other through seeing, writing, and public judgment. Drawing on the legacy of Ray and Charles Eames, the session explores how architecture is experienced, understood, and remembered.
