Walk of Frames

This immersive entrance to the festival serves as a physical, symbolic threshold, introducing attendees to cinematic storytelling. Inspired by Wes Anderson’s distinct visual language—soft pastels, vibrant teals, earthy ochres and rich blues, apart from symmetrical and whimsical layouts—are the five intricate frames which ensue a journey through diverse narratives. Placed sequentially, these navigate from introduction and conflict to resolution and celebration, echoing the festival’s focus on films as portals to evocative worlds. Partnering with ICA Pidilite and their wide range of finishes fitted into the concept’s ethos.

The outermost Patisserie Façade symbolises indulgence and joy, capturing cinema’s all-encompassing spirit. Progressing next through the Grand Archway immerses one into modern storytelling, reflecting cinema’s evolution into bolder dispositions. The Balcony Scene conjures romance and drama, recalling iconic balcony scenes where impassioned emotions unfold. Imbibed with the charm of built heritage and history, the Rustic Archway transports one into the time-worn beauty of classic films. Warm and cosy, the innermost Café Doorway draws visitors in like a film’s opening sequence, inviting them to step into the festival’s celebration of cinema, architecture and design.
