Waymarkers and Waystations in the City

Date: 11 Jan, 2025 | Time: 15:45 | Little Theatre

Poet and cultural theorist Ranjit Hoskote and architect and visual theorist Kaiwan Mehta will develop a conversation across a set of texts that they will present in the form of an exchange. Hoskote will read from his recent books of poetry, Jonahwhale , Hunchprose and Icelight. Mehta will read from his book on urban experience, Alice in Bhuleshwar. To both speakers, the city is both the cradle of intimate familiarity and the labyrinth of epic strangeness. How does the city become home? How does the city become a war zone? These are the themes that have long preoccupied Hoskote and Mehta.
