Un-Wrap

The construct’s conceptual inspiration is abstracted from the mathematical idea of the Klein bottle, whose four-dimensional existence has no distinct inside or outside, nor a distinguishable beginning or end. This pavilion is conceived as a freestanding object that reveals little externally and uses mechanisms to offer continuity. When closed, the same pivoting door that gives access within, unveils another seamless pocket of space. This gently revolving element conducts the pavilion’s subtle choreography—the sun’s quotidian journey interacting with the sinuous surfaces of the open-to-sky space; shadows playing hide-and-seek, timid at first and growing dauntless; and the shifting visual points directing how the space could be uniquely experienced. Much like sequences in a film, there is a constant shift of perspective through movements, both choreographed and arbitrary—gradually ‘un-wrapping’ a sense of drama and discovery.

The pavilion is supported by Artize by Jaquar Group - created by and for design connoisseurs. With art-inspired shapes, minimalistic forms and meticulous finishes, it is all about reimagining the bath as a luxury that is born from art.
