Paola Malavassi

Paola is a Costa Rican curator based in Berlin with over two decades of experience in major art institutions. She has held directorial positions, curated numerous exhibitions, and published extensively. Her interdisciplinary practice often explores the intersection of visual art and music—particularly jazz. Recent projects include Stan Douglas: Splicing Block (2019), I’ve Seen the Wall: Louis Armstrong on Tour in the GDR 1965 (2023–24), co-curated with Jason Moran, and Noah Davis (2024–25).
