DetailsAcademy of Architecture, since 1955, holds a reputation for producing distinguished work by its students under the guidance and support of the professors. Putting forth this work once again, we present the ‘Confluence 2019-2020’.
The Confluence is a culmination of workshops, screenings, dialogues, alumni meet, open house and the exhibition 2019-2020. The annual exhibition opening on January 30, 2020, will showcase works of the students from design and allied disciplines with insights into their seminal projects, technical subjects, documentation of visits, art, graphics and a lot more.
On the same day, Academy of Architecture will present Chris Precht as the guest lecturer for Confluence at the Nehru Centre Auditorium in Mumbai, India. Precht is a world-renowned architect who runs his practice from the mountains of Austria. He is known for adopting a cross-cultural approach to create his projects and in turn, our cities more resilient and self-sustaining. His studio 'works on everything that is interesting to them and nothing that doesn't fit that description'. The practice has achieved multiple awards and Precht has delivered inspiring talks all over the world.
Confluence 2019-2020 aims to extend the efforts of the school to a global platform to broaden the scope of architecture as a whole.
The exhibition will be held at Rachana Sansad’s Academy of Architecture, Mumbai, from 10 am–6pm.
