Architecture Hunter Awards 2026

A global architecture and design award that honors innovative and impactful work

Details

The global media platform Architecture Hunter will open submissions on March 18 for the 2026 edition of the Architecture Hunter Awards (AHA), a global architecture and design award that honors innovative and impactful work, recognizing both emerging talents and established names. Submissions will remain open until August.

Originating in Brazil and with growing participation from offices around the world, the Architecture Hunter Awards connect different contexts and geographies through an evaluation process attentive to the transformations of contemporary architecture. In recent editions, the award has brought together more than 1,500 projects from 61 countries, consolidating itself as a platform for visibility and exchange among architecture and design professionals.

Bringing together 9 groups and 33 categories, AHA 2026 spans different scales of contemporary architecture and design, also encompassing their diverse forms of representation. Architects, designers, studios, students, and creatives from around the world are invited to participate with their projects.

Architecture: Commercial & Offices, Garden Landscape, High Rise Buildings, Hotels, Resorts & Wellness, Houses & Villas, Institutional Facilities, Mixed-use Buildings, Renovations, Ephemeral Architecture

The AHA also reaffirms its commitment to socially impactful architecture through the Social Architecture category. In this category, 100% of the submission fees are directed to Construíde, an NGO that promotes dignified housing through renovations and home improvements for families in vulnerable situations. In addition, 5% of the total amount raised from all award submissions is also donated to the organization.

The awards also include the Student category, with free submission, created to encourage the participation of new talents and expand the visibility of academic projects. For students, the AHA represents an opportunity to have their work evaluated by a prestigious international jury, within a space of recognition that often goes beyond the academic environment and connects new generations to the global debate on architecture.

International Jury
AHA 2026 features an international jury composed of professionals from different regions of the world. This diversity of perspectives contributes to a plural evaluation attentive to the contexts and approaches present in contemporary architecture. The jury includes representatives from:
- OMA
- Bofill Taller de Arquitectura
- Shigeru Ban Architects
- Salone del Mobile Milano
- MVRDV
- Foster + Partners

among others.

Finalists
A major novelty of this edition is that the finalists will be revealed during the second edition of the Hunter International Forum (HIF), Architecture Hunter’s debate event, which will take place at the Latin America Memorial in São Paulo, Brazil, a cultural complex designed by Oscar Niemeyer.

Benefits
In this edition, AHA expands its scope by offering benefits designed to accompany winners beyond the moment of the award ceremony. Initiatives include mentorship programs, access to professional platforms, and special conditions for educational programs, opportunities intended to open new paths and create connections throughout the winners’ professional journeys. These initiatives are supported by Louper, MArch Valencia, Morpholio, and v2com, strengthening Architecture Hunter’s educational pillar and its international network.
