Design Series Festival 2025

The Design Series Festival 2025 will be held for the first time in Bali. This two-day architectural festival will feature a diverse range of programs, including architectural exhibitions, brand showcases, discussions, and presentations by architects from Indonesia and abroad.

The festival’s main theme, “Movement,” represents the dynamic evolution of architecture in responding to global issues. Amid challenges such as climate change, urbanization, and digital technology, architecture is seen not merely as a building practice but as an ever-evolving movement that adapts with the times. This theme reflects how architecture and design are not only artistic expressions but also responses to increasingly complex social, cultural, and environmental changes.

Furthermore, “Movement” highlights the diversity of methods, forms, and approaches within architecture. Each participating architect will bring a unique perspective ranging from material sustainability and spatial experience to the intersection of technology and humanism. Through this festival, cross-disciplinary ideas will converge to explore how architecture, as both object and discourse, contributes to global conversations and shared purposes.

Design Series Festival 2025 will take place on October 30–31, 2025, at the Convention Hall, Harris Hotel & Residence Sunset Road, Denpasar. Bali was chosen as the host location because it serves as a meeting point between tradition and modernity. Its architecture reflects local identity while also opening doors to international developments.
