Mayfair Design District 2026

Defining the Future of Culture in Mayfair

Details

Mayfair Design District (MDD) presents What Matters Now, a district-wide programme exploring the ideas, objects and experiences defining culture today and shaping the world of tomorrow. Established in 2017 by co-founders James Malcolm Green and Anne-Laure Pingreoun, Mayfair Design District brings together the neighbourhood's leading and emerging voices across art, design, craftsmanship and hospitality. For 2026, the District turns its focus to relevance, asking what deserves our attention, what we choose to preserve and what we carry forward.

Across Mayfair, galleries, design destinations, global brands and cultural spaces will present a curated programme of exhibitions, installations, product launches, talks, new commissions and creative encounters, transforming the neighbourhood into a platform for contemporary cultural dialogue.

This year's programme features the opening of Charles Burnand Gallery's new permanent Mayfair home, launching with Under Wraps, alongside Monologue's Afterimage, conceived by Pavel Klimczak and designed by Paraforma, which transforms the showroom into an immersive landscape of light, reflection and contemporary collectible design.

Major exhibitions also include Sarah Myerscough Gallery's BADLANDS by Christopher Kurtz, and MINT Gallery's Blueprint, exploring how emerging ideas, from bio-design to regenerative thinking, are reshaping collectible design.
