Renowned visionary Karim Rashid launches Pink Blob Award, an international platform dedicated to celebrating design that is fearless, original, and emotionally intelligent.

Pink Blob Award is not a recognition of market conformity or commercially safe solutions. Instead, it serves as a manifesto for Radically Contemporary Design. Guided by the philosophy of “Sensuality over Brutality” and “Future over Nostalgia,” the award seeks to honor creators who reject the rigid minimalism of the past in favor of an optimistic, democratic, and soulful aesthetic.

Submissions will be evaluated by a world-class jury of designers who have redefined the modern landscape: Karim Rashid (Founder & Lead Juror), Fabio Novembre, and Ross Lovegrove.

The award departs from traditional accolades by prioritizing emotional impact over cold rationalism. “Pink Blob Award celebrates the human spirit,” says Karim Rashid. “We are looking for design that feels, design that empowers, and design that dares to be original in a world of derivatives.”

Categories:
Endorsement of the Body: Fashion, wearables, and prosthetics that treat the body as architecture and the accessory as empowerment.
Liquid Domesticity: Furniture and interior products that reimagine the home as a sensual, fluid, and optimistic space.
Emotional Technology: Digital interfaces and AI systems designed with soul, focusing on sensory interaction rather than cold utility.
Democratic Radicalism: Mass-produced objects and packaging that prove beauty and industrial intelligence can be accessible to the many, not just the elite.
Spatial Humanism: Architecture and interiors that act as "emotional infrastructure," dissolving rigidity to invite experience.

Submission Details & Fees:
Pink Blob Award is open to students, professional designers, architects, studios, and companies worldwide. Participants are encouraged to submit across multiple categories and may enter an unlimited number of projects.
Entry Fee:
$100 per submission
$50 per student submission.
Non-student submissions must represent products already in production or completed built projects. Concept projects are permitted exclusively for student entries.

Winner Prizes & Recognition:
Pink Blob Award provides a high-visibility stage for innovative design. Winners will receive global exposure (featured showcases on the official Pink Blob Award website and social media channels), amplified reach (dedicated features across Karim Rashid’s official social media platforms), and official credentials (an official certificate signed by Karim Rashid and digital winner badges for use in websites, portfolios, and promotional materials).
