प्रक्रिया / Process marks the inaugural exhibition of Shrine Empire’s new space in Defence Colony, New Delhi, opening on 22 April 2026 and on view until 23 May 2026. Conceived as a moment of convergence, the exhibition brings together an expansive roster of artists, foregrounding process as both method and meaning within contemporary artistic practice.Rooted in the South Asian context, the exhibition unfolds across a wide range of media, themes, and generational perspectives. It reflects on the often-unseen act of making, highlighting how material explorations, personal histories, and conceptual inquiries shape distinct visual vocabularies. In doing so, Process offers a nuanced lens through which to engage with the diversity and simultaneity of contemporary practices.
Presented alongside Shrine Empire’s own spatial transition, the exhibition also considers the act of building and sustaining artistic infrastructures. It situates artistic production within a broader ecology of viewing, dialogue, and exchange, aligning with the gallery’s vision of fostering deeper, more immersive encounters with art.
Featuring works by Amitava, Anoli Perera, Arun Dev, Awdhesh Tamrakar, Baaraan Ijlal, Divya Singh, Hema Shironi, Moonis Ijlal, Nandita Kumar, Neerja Kothari, Paribartana Mohanty, Ranjana Thapalyal, Renuka Rajiv, Sajan Mani, Samanta Batra Mehta, Sangita Maity, Sarker Protick, Shruti Mahajan, and Tayeba Begum Lipi, the exhibition traces resonances and departures across individual practices—offering a generative and layered encounter with the contemporary.
