auster launches India's first grassroots creator fund powered by community-led mentorship and support

Auster announces the launch of the auster.fund, which is one of the first creator-led funds of its kind in India, offering ₹5,00,000 in funding, direct mentorship, and a public showcase opportunity for Indian creators across all disciplines.

This initiative reimagines traditional funding models by centering inclusion, accessibility, and creative freedom. The grant is open to Indian nationals aged 21+, and invites proposals in any medium — from music, design, and performance to visual arts and digital culture — with a focus on boundary-pushing, community-centered, or culturally resonant projects.

A 2022 Asian Development Bank Institute report flagged limited access to finance as a key barrier for creative entrepreneurs in India. auster responds to this challenge by making funding more equitable and transparent — offering a real alternative to complex institutional grants.

“Through our fund, we’re not just giving out money — we’re building community. In an age of AI and increasing digital noise, Auster wants to give Indian creators the resources and visibility they deserve,” said Ashrant Bhartia, CEO & Founder of auster.

Since its founding in 2019, auster has supported emerging talent through events, showcases, and collaborations. We are a platform dedicated to empowering creators through funding, collaboration, and visibility. The auster.fund marks a major step forward in that mission.
