only that which is still a dream may be fulfilled.the space between dream and reality…
unbuilt
only an unlearning may make room for learning anew.
that clean slate…
unbuilt
only that which is broken may again be formed.
crashed, crushed, resurrecting…
unbuilt
dreams broken
promises unkept
justice undone…
to build a bridge of hope
there are walls that must be
unbuilt
there is no construct without the deconstruct
there is no making without an unmaking
the built
comes from what is unbuilt…
you must believe in the slow becoming
of the possibility that rests on the stilt.
STIR is proud to launch india: unbuilt architecture – a book by Rajesh Advani and Ruturaj Parekh that presents India's most celebrated architectural practices and their 50+ fascinating but unbuilt projects across diverse typologies. Accompanying them is a series of essays by professionals that discuss the idea of the ‘Unbuilt India’.
To diversify the narrative, STIR, the launch partner of ‘india: unbuilt architecture’ will invite creative practitioners from diverse disciplines such as theatre, music, architecture, art and design to celebrate their own fascinating unbuilt stories, in an enthralling event curated by Samta Nadeem, Brand Director and Curator at STIR.
Programme:
1. Book launch
2. Storytelling sessions by presenters from diverse creative disciplines
The evening’s lineup of storytellers includes some of the most inspiring minds and creative changemakers across poetry, design, films, arts, and literature. The spotlight will shine on each speaker for 15 minutes, engaging a carefully curated, by-invite audience of creative thinkers and makers into the Unbuilt narrative through stories, presentations, performances, and screenings. After each presentation, the house will open up to an informal interaction with the gathering.
