Moving Fragments brings together both previously celebrated works and six new pieces, including the FIRA collection, offering an insight into the evolution of his in-depth material exploration over five years. Belgian designer and craftsman Tim Vranken is known for his collectible pieces, marked by geometric purity, minimalism and material exploration. His collections carry a minimalistic appeal while also possessing a robust and architectural character. They play with the contrast between fragility and strength, revealing hidden qualities within the materials he works with. Most of his pieces are crafted from solid wood, showcasing the craftsmanship behind his work. In his latest creations, Vranken introduces new materials and techniques, such as aluminum and walnut burl, while reinterpreting traditional materials like granito stone in innovative ways.
