The 16th Lyon Biennale dives into historical meta-narrative, presenting us with a birds-eye view not only of art past and present but of our own understanding of art history. The exhibition features many significant loans from many of Lyon’s leading cultural institutions, such as the Museum of Fine Arts of Lyon, the Lugdunum Museum and Roman theaters, the Musée des Confluences and Gadagne. Kim Simonsson contributed 28 works to the Lyon Biennale— his Moss People may be spotted throughout the sprawling exhibition's six venues.
