"Color is a visual experience, not a scientific one. The fact that there is no objectivity in color is a blessing." — Hella Jongerius
Galerie kreo is delighted to present its new exhibition Living in Color. The show unfolds through a series of scenes, each built around a chromatic register: from powder pink to cherry red, from bottle green to deep plum, through to kaleidoscopic bursts of colour. Furniture and objects come together in compositions that are at times fully saturated, at others grounded in restraint, where colour enters only as an accent.
This exhibition explores colour as a way of living, as material in its own right. Contemporary works and vintage design sit alongside one another, composing different ways of inhabiting colour.
The contemporary works include creations by Edward Barber & Jay Osgerby, Guillaume Bardet, François Bauchet, Ronan Bouroullec, Ronan & Erwan Bouroullec, Marco Campardo, Pierre Charpin, Jean-Baptiste Fastrez, Jaime Hayon, Alessandro Mendini, Jasper Morrison, Muller Van Severen, Marc Newson and Jerszy Seymour. Vintage design is represented by Sergio Asti, Robin Day, Gérard Guermonprez, Florence Knoll, Jean-Boris Lacroix, Robert Mathieu, Pierre Paulin, Ernest Race, Gino Sarfatti and Vittorio Zecchin.
