Denmark-based Kristina Dam Studio has created a refined spatial experience for the AKVA Jewellery showroom with a thoughtful intersection of design and craftsmanship. “At AKVA Jewellery, the experience of jewellery is closely connected to the space in which it is presented. Natural materials and timeless design from Kristina Dam Studio frame the display, while the integrated workshop makes the craftsmanship visible,” reads the official press release.

The showroom is defined by its classic architectural interiors—ornate stucco detailing, soaring ceilings and an abundance of natural materials. Within this elegant setting, Kristina Dam studio’s signature minimalist product designs bring a sense of calm clarity to the space. “The atmosphere is exclusive yet relaxed and welcoming, allowing visitors to take their time discovering the pieces,” notes the Copenhagen-based design studio in the press release.

Materiality plays a central role in shaping the experience. Natural textures and subdued tones establish a balanced backdrop that allows the jewellery to take focus without distraction. AKVA Jewellery crafted cushions from repurposed embroidered napkins introduce a layer of historical nuance—bridging past and present while reinforcing the brand’s enduring aesthetic.

An integrated workshop sits at the heart of the space, dissolving the boundary between the space of creation and display. Visitors are invited to observe the making process firsthand, fostering a deeper appreciation for the skill and detail embedded in each piece.

By aligning architectural heritage with contemporary design sensibilities, the showroom elevates the perception of value—transforming jewellery from an object to an experience. “The architectural surroundings add a sense of exclusivity to the experience of the jewellery while making it easier for customers to understand the value of the materials and craftsmanship,” concludes Kristina Dam Studio.
