Galleria Continua presents Objets Trouvés, a group exhibition running from September 6, 2026 – April 26, 2026 at their Les Moulins location in France. The art exhibition invites visitors to rethink the relationship between ordinary objects and artistic creation through a collection of works by contemporary artists that explores how everyday materials can be transformed into meaningful works of art.

“Is it really possible to transform simple objects into works of art? How can egg boxes, a saucepan or even pebbles find their place in a gallery? And above all: can anyone do it? When we say, ‘Even my child could do that’, are we truly convinced? Objets trouvés emerged precisely from these questions, inviting us to reflect on the boundary between art and object, on the value of the gesture and on the intention that transforms the everyday into artistic expression,” Galleria Continua notes in an official release.

The exhibition presents contemporary artists such as Barbana Bojadzi, Yoan Capote, José Mesías, Moataz Nasr, Zhanna Kadyrova, Ornaghi & Prestinari, Pascale Marthine Tayou and Sislej Xhafa.

Inspired by Dadaism and the concept of the ‘readymade’, the contemporary art pieces on display challenge traditional definitions of art by presenting found or repurposed objects within the exhibition space. The exhibition highlights how the act of selecting, assembling or recontextualising objects can transform them into powerful artistic statements. “Each piece tells a story: personal or collective, political or poetic, nostalgic or playful. Traces of memory, movement and culture emerge from ordinary materials that, once altered or simply recontextualised, take on a new identity,” notes the art gallery.

Objets trouvés offers young audiences the chance to reflect on what it has meant, for just over a century now, to make art and to be an artist—and on the infinite creative possibilities hidden within every object,” concludes Galleria Continua.
