The Paris-based design gallery, Galerie kreo, presents a curated showcase exploring the continuity between historical and contemporary design at MAZE Design Basel 2026 in Switzerland, from June 15 – 18, 2026. The curated design exhibition brings together works by designers of the past century alongside leading contemporary designers.
Galerie kreo's showcase features product designs by designers such as Edward Barber and Jay Osgerby, Guillaume Bardet, François Bauchet, Ronan Bouroullec, Marco Campardo, Pierre Charpin, Jean-Baptiste Fastrez, Konstantin Grcic, Jaime Hayon, Hella Jongerius, Muller Van Severen and Marc Newson.
These works are presented alongside vintage design pieces by creatives such as Sergio Asti, Jacques Biny, Cini Boeri, Pierre Disderot, Gianfranco Frattini, Pierre Guariche, Giuseppe Ostuni, Pierre Paulin, Flavio Poli and Gino Sarfatti.
“The presentation also features an extensive selection of vintage lighting, including a wall installation of wall lights showcasing works by Gino Sarfatti, Jacques Biny, Cini Boeri and other notable designers,” the gallery notes.
Among the highlights at the design event is a new work from the French designer Bouroullec’s Clair-obscur collection, which continues his exploration of light and materiality. Also featured is Dutch industrial designer Jongerius’ celebrated Knots and Beads Curtain that blends craftsmanship, textile innovation and spatial design. Bardet’s bronze sculpture Spinning Top, on the other hand, is a redesign of various liturgical objects.
“Together, the selected works trace a subtle lineage from early 20th-century design to today’s most innovative creations,” Gallerie kreo states.
