Nilufar centres global collectible design with a dual presentation at PAD London 2025

Nilufar returns to PAD London 2025, reaffirming its position as a leading force in global collectible design, by presenting a curated showcase across two booths that bridge historical icons with contemporary innovation. Under the curatorship of founder Nina Yashar, Nilufar reveals a compelling dual presentation at the design event in London, taking place from October 14 – 19, 2025, spotlighting both its signature blend of vintage and contemporary designs at Booth B16 and a dedicated solo showcase of new works by Indian designer Vikram Goyal at Booth C14.

Booth B16: Nilufar

At the heart of Nilufar's booth at the design fair is a tactile exploration of materials—bronze, resin, glass and wood—transformed by the hands of both contemporary designers and historical masters. "The selection unfolds like a tactile archive, narrating the evolution of form through matter," Nilufar's official release mentions.

Among the standout pieces is Filippo Carandini's Mirror Sole, part of the Muse Collection, a poetic bronze and glass work inspired by celestial forms, cast in collaboration with Fonderia Artistica Campagnar. In contrast, Flavie Audi's Prescient Vortex table employs digital techniques to evoke a molten geological swirl in silver-toned resin and aluminium. Bethan Laura Wood's Meisen chair takes inspiration from entomology and jewellery design, merging velvet and metal in a hybrid form. In Allegra Hicks's Metamorphosis table, hand-painted linen sealed in resin is paired with a crochet-inspired bronze base, transforming textile into sculpture art.

Lighting designs by Christian Pellizzari add a lyrical touch with his Petra floor lamp and Phisophorum wall and ceiling lights made from hand-blown Murano glass, evoking organic forms caught between object and atmosphere. Meanwhile, Etienne Marc's Still Life mirrors merge Art Deco geometry with botanical motifs. Pushing the boundaries of sculptural design is Gal Gaon's Thalia, a dynamic stainless steel piece from the Heaven Collection that channels motion and mythology through layered chrome. Hechizoo's tapestry diptych, Dual Essence: Petra and Tango, combines copper and wood veneer in a textile dialogue between Colombian and Japanese craft.

The booth also honours 20th-century pioneers such as Gabriella Crespi with her radiant Rising Sun vases in brass and plexiglass, alongside key product designs by creatives such as Paul Evans, Paul László, Maria Pergay and Zanine Caldas, whose "solid wood forms, intuitively shaped, feel at once grounded and elevated… Armchairs by Scapinelli, Walter & Moretti, and a graphic cabinet by Paul Evans round out the constellation of mid-century masters, each piece a milestone in design history and a testament to enduring craftsmanship," Nilufar notes.

Booth C14: Vikram Goyal x Nilufar

The Delhi-based designer returns for the third time to PAD London at Nilufar's second booth, with a new body of work that continues his exploration of Indian material traditions through a contemporary lens. "Known for his mastery of metal and contemporary reinterpretation of traditional Indian techniques, Goyal introduces a bold new body of work that further expands his sculptural language," says Nilufar in the press release.

The showcased collection centres around the Bagh series, whose floral-inspired forms reference India's historic gardens and heritage. These are set against weightier sculptural statements such as the Palazzo and Grand Castello consoles and the Mesa cabinet, rendered in refined finishes using advanced repoussé and hollowed joinery techniques. One of the booth's highlights is the Thar wall sconces, which span two walls in a 16-foot brass configuration. Composed of hundreds of hand-cut, hammered segments, the piece pays tribute to the Thar Desert's vast, rolling dunes.
