The Objects with Narratives gallery presents Sea Breeze, a summer residency group exhibition in Knokke-Heist, Belgium, celebrating the serene beauty and artistic spirit of the Belgian coast. On view from August 16 – September 27, 2025, the design exhibition is presented in collaboration with Belgian interior design brand Obumex.

Sea Breeze draws inspiration from the tranquil hues of sand, sea and sky, translating the calm, airy palette of the shoreline into a curated display of collectible design. The exhibition invites visitors to experience a seamless blend of art and design in a setting that reflects the refined lifestyle of the picturesque coastal town, Knokke, known for its vibrant and timeless art scene, and "promises to bring an exemplary lifestyle brought to its famous picturesque homes", according to Objects with Narratives.

The featured creatives include Belgian designer Ben Storms, known for transforming raw materials into sculptural furniture and product designs that defy expectation, and Cedric Breisacher, whose minimalist, organic works invite a reconnection with material through hands-on experimentation. Cobra Studio infuses postmodern aesthetics with vibrant geometry and bold colour, while Paris-based Corpus Studio crafts objects and interiors that blur boundaries between architecture and narrative design. Christian Fregnan melds traditional metalwork with refined contemporary form, and Jojo Corvaïa explores freedom, abstraction and imperfection through ceramic and bronze sculptures. Laurids Gallée brings a sense of play and material curiosity to his expressive furniture designs, contrasting with Lukas Cober’s timeless forms, which are rooted in authenticity and quiet strength.

Amsterdam-based Maarten Vrolijk adds joyful simplicity and tactile beauty, while Marius Ritiu presents thought-provoking works that reflect on global consciousness and the concept of borders. The duo Middernacht & Alexander explores intimacy, perception and the human condition through layered, often ambiguous materials, while Roxane Lahidji pioneers ecological luxury by transforming humble resources into refined surfaces.

Belgian artist duo Studio KRJST brings textile art to the forefront with poetic, embroidered works bridging fashion and design. Tim Vranken emphasises material honesty and purity in his handmade furniture, while Tom Jablin channels precision and craft into elegant functional forms. Rounding out the group is Tanguy Tourain, a self-taught designer whose fearless approach pushes material and technique into bold new territories.

Together, these artists and designers embody the serene sophistication and artistic spirit of Sea Breeze, reflecting a creative language that is rooted in nature and elevated by craft.
