Emma Drocco

Guest Writer

Emma is an art historian, writer, and cultural project manager whose work traces the circulation and transformation of contemporary art trends across cultural geographies. Drawing on a career developed across Turin, Venice, Berlin, Los Angeles, and Shanghai, she examines how artistic movements shift in meaning, form, and reception as they cross regional and institutional boundaries. She holds an MA in Contemporary Art from Università Ca' Foscari Venice, and has held fellowships at the J. Paul Getty Museum and the Peggy Guggenheim Collection. Currently based in Shanghai, she combines project coordination with critical writing focused on the Greater China region, where she investigates how global contemporary art currents intersect with local material cultures and craft traditions.
