Radical Landscapes by Mario Trimarchi brings balance and poetry to A.galerie

Mario Trimarchi's first solo exhibition in Belgium, entitled Radical Landscapes, takes the stage at the A.galerie in Brussels from September 11 – October 3, 2025. The design exhibition presents a selection of Trimarchi's most recent research projects, including unique objects and black-and-white drawings on paper. They are small, silent, poetic landscapes, united by a relentless exploration of the meaning of balance, understood in all its nuances. Trimarchi's research continues into the creation of unexpected and sometimes precarious objects.

"Radical Landscapes is a parade of sophisticated assemblages of raw materials such as glass, metal mesh, stone and brass, in domestic and familiar forms. These fragile yet striking constructions talk to us about the unachievable balance of life, of warmth and coldness, instability and solidity, lightness and weight, transparency and opacity", writes Monika Unger, the exhibition's creator and producer.

The Italian designer and architect has long worked at the intersection of drawing and sculpture; for Trimarchi, design is a journey, a relentless search for poetry in everyday objects. His work seeks fragments of beauty through unexpected forms and emotional resonance. Across every project, he reaffirms his belief that design is not just about objects—but about capturing the invisible threads of meaning, beauty and imagination, woven into daily life. In Radical Landscapes, Trimarchi invites us to explore the poetic friction between the natural and the designed, between what we know and what we are still learning to see—an invitation we should happily embrace.
