Founded in 1983, Cerasa Srl is an internationally acclaimed Italian brand of bathroom furniture dedicated to delivering innovation in Italy and international markets. Since its inception, the brand has delivered products focusing on innovation and sustainability, favouring physiological and psychological well-being. DES collection by Cerasa Srl is one of the collections that communicates their ideologies, offering a modern aesthetic and harmonising appeal to the bathroom space with wooden framed fronts, customised finishes, and other such accessories. Augmenting the iconic collection, the Italian brand unveils its upgraded version, DES Evolution, at Salone Del Mobile during Milan Design Week 2024.
The DES Evolution collection stands out as a universal furnishing system, whose changeable character allows perfect adaptability to a variety of environments. In addition to the bathroom furnishings, tall units, lamps, coffee tables, mirrors, and shelves harmoniously unite, creating a large family of elements that interconnect different areas of the living space. Stylistic customisation emerges as the fundamental element of the collection. In the evolution of the original design, the focus has been on proposing ‘ideal’ combinations associated with four distinct archetypes. These archetypes, derived from the synthesis of the human character and behavioural spectrum, have been skillfully linked to behaviours, attitudes, and tastes, transforming the bathroom into an authentic expression of personality.
The Natural mood is characterised by light and ethereal tones, aimed at those who seek a spiritual dimension and a refuge from the daily hustle and bustle. In contrast, the Deep Green mood embraces dark and sophisticated finishes, appealing to a more refined and elegant soul, attentive to details. Similarly, the Caramel and Sandstone moods, with their shades of Canaletto Walnut and Eucalyptus, evoke a warm and welcoming atmosphere, completing a visionary picture of simplicity and refinement. The research led to the creation of an extremely romantic offer, inspired by Italian Renaissance workshops, with the decorative technique renamed Dfresco for the occasion. This technique, reminiscent of the art of frescoes, creates a surprising visual and material effect, decorating not only the framed fronts but also the tops and washbasins in an elegant harmony of shapes and textures, thus contributing to a more sustainable environment.
In addition to the four main moods, the DES Evolution collection presents a variety of additional materials, including processed glass, stoneware, mortars, and wallpapers, which harmoniously integrate with precious woods and lacquers, both in the frames and in the body of the furniture and in the new variant of the thickened front, offering a wide range of customisation possibilities. The use of metallic components in the Champagne and Nichel finishes completes the elegant and refined atmosphere of the DES Evolution collection, adding a touch of originality and sophistication to the environment. The final result is an enchanting setting where intimacy, serenity, and peace blend harmoniously, transforming the bathroom into a refuge space where one’s self can find its maximum expression.
