Il Bianco, il Nero e lo Specchio (White, Black and Mirror) are both ideally and ironically the three absolute souls of light: actual light, dark and magic. Emission, denial and reflection: a timeless comparison, where every contrast finds its meaning, every opposition dissolves to create a form of beauty. Lightness and invention are the ingredients of Italian brand Davide Groppi’s new collection, presented from April 8 – 13, 2025, at Euroluce and in their showroom at Via Manzoni in Milan, Italy. The projects are designed as silent stars that blend discreetly and elegantly into any setting. Every creation is an encounter of poetry and industry, function and beauty, in an essential dialogue that enhances the purity of light without overwhelming the space.
Light to be touched, shaped and directed.
Light that becomes an instrument.
Light that offers freedom of interaction.
For the brand, sustainability means subtraction; it means essence. The designers eliminate the superfluous, working with pure forms and minimal materials to make every lighting design, every lamp, the perfect synthesis of lightness, function and emotion.
A tiny gesture, a slight sound, an essential interaction and, lastly, our mobile switch. An element that has always accompanied light is now interpreted in the brand’s design language: simple, intuitive and discrete. The purely functional product design is reduced to its essence and is available in a range of power configurations.

Think, read and converse in a cosy, intimate space. A light that stays by your side, a silent and never invasive presence. A tilting stem supports a small, adjustable head that precisely directs the light. The Extradark technology shapes the light beam, reducing glare and creating a sharp, defined light, ideal for those looking for full visual control. An object moves naturally, becoming a floor lamp, accompanying gestures and movement or a light that redefines the concept of the table lamp.

Space becomes a photography set—a place to be interpreted and transformed by light, with the same freedom and precision used to define a shot. Davide Groppi creates a combinable, versatile lighting system inspired by photography equipment, featuring a base, a modular stem and an adjustable, movable spotlight that adapts to every need. Diffusers, spotlights, filters, louvres and snoots sculpt and shape the light, from direct lighting to soft, diffused light. A tiny invention ensures the constant tension of the thin power cable.
Design Omar Carraglia, 2025
A luminous mark that appears and defines the space. A mobile floor or table lamp evokes the suspension between light and shadow. The special optical system focuses a perfect circle of light on the ceiling to create a precise, almost metaphysical effect. A clear boundary is drawn between dark and light, an intangible yet elegantly manifested presence. Light transforms into colour and evokes unique atmospheres. An essential gesture that shapes new perceptions and designs space with the lightness of intuition.
Design Alberto Zattin, 2025
A soft light that discreetly embraces the space. CALMA is a diffused light wall or ceiling lamp design that creates cosy, intimate atmospheres. An 18-centimetre diameter opaline glass ball turns light into intangible matter, eliminating any hardness or contrast. The lighting does not glare but welcomes; it does not impose but accompanies. Perfect when light must remain in the background without being noticed.
Design Davide Groppi, 2025
RACE OF LIGHTS is an electrified toy track that carries current to power tiny car lamps. The track can be set up as one desires, becoming the base for designing their lighting system. The car lamps are fixed with magnets, allowing the user to freely create ever-changing compositions. A simple and intuitive system, where light can be moved and reinvented whenever one wishes, turning a child’s play into an inventive light experience.
Design Davide Groppi, 2025
A minimally elegant sign of light becomes even more versatile; SOTTILE is also available in lengths of 800 millimetres and 1100 millimetres. A new connection system joins several modules with the same lighting point, freely positioning them to create ever-different configurations.
Lines meet, bend and trace light, changing shapes and adapting precisely to the space. Light follows the architecture, amplifying its depths.
A new collection of pure light luminaires showcasing recessed and ceiling-mounted solutions, track- and wall-mounted spotlights that clearly and precisely define space. Conceived to offer designers essential lighting tools that showcase volumes, surfaces and details, the designs embody high performance and uncompromising construction quality for lighting that becomes an integral part of the architecture.
By Davide Groppi and Gianni Lucchesi
On the occasion of its 20th anniversary, Gianni Lucchesi conquers the surface of the Moon by Davide Groppi with a reflection on the bond between man and nature. Lucchesi's stylistic key interweaves with Moon in a suspended and evocative narrative: an anyman, a universal and timeless figure who, in contemplating the moon, becomes intermediary and source, creator and at the same time active conductor of emotions and stories. The beauty of this project lies in the meeting of two evocative elements: man and the moon. Each tries to understand and touch the other, in a game of equilibrium between the big and small, the terrestrial and the astronomical.
