Feel the Shift by Masquespacio brings a new vision of home to Maison&Objet Pulse

Spanish design studio Masquespacio presents Feel the Shift in Paris as part of Maison&Objet Pulse, the interior design and lifestyle trade show, on view from September 10 – 14, 2026. As ambassadors for Maison&Objet Pulse and Paris Design Week, the studio responds to the theme Pulse in Motion with an immersive installation centred on people, emotion and collaboration. “Feel the Shift expresses the new chapter Masquespacio began after its pause and the time Ana Hernández and Christophe Penasse spent in Bali. The studio returned with a more personal and intuitive way of creating: less driven by trends and more closely connected to people, materiality and authenticity,” Masquespacio notes in the project’s official release.

Feel the Shift at the design fair’s September edition takes the idea of home and, rather than recreating a specific domestic setting, interprets it as a universal space of intimacy and belonging—somewhere designed to welcome, protect and encourage connection. From this recognisable starting point, the studio introduces a sense of fantasy at the design event. Familiar domestic elements are reimagined through unexpected combinations of colour, material, scale and form. “It is an imagined home that feels both close and surprising, where fantasy, joy and optimism become part of everyday life,” the contemporary design studio notes.

The title captures the project's central idea: change as something to be felt. The shift emerges through colour, materials, collaboration and a renewed understanding of how spaces and objects can shape experience. “Feel the Shift is about sensing that something has moved. We wanted to begin with something as human as home and bring it into our universe of fantasy, joy and optimism. We are not trying to explain the change, but to create a place where people can experience it,” Hernández and Penasse note.

The design installation brings together products and materials from collaborating brands alongside pieces developed specifically for the project. “Their coexistence reflects a new working dynamic for Masquespacio: collaborating with companies that want to explore the studio’s vision, whether applied to a product typology or to the identity and universe of the brand itself,” the Spain-based studio notes.

Feel the Shift also connects with Mas Creations, the studio’s lifestyle universe spanning furniture, lighting, objects, surfaces and artworks.  “In this way, the installation functions simultaneously as a manifesto, a temporary home and the presentation of a universe that can continue to grow beyond Maison&Objet. It is no longer only about showing how Masquespacio imagines a space, but about allowing others to bring fragments of that vision into their own way of living,” Masquespacio explains.
