Taking its debut steps in the world of luxury design, Pagerie, a first-ever fashion house made exclusively for pets, has launched its neutral toned ‘Sahara’ collection in USA. The company is founded by Mandy Madden Kelley, who has a background in law and is now a beauty influencer.
Kelley, a dog-enthusiast, grew up with them, and saw the impact they had on the different people in her life. This ultra-luxury fashion house for pets has been created keeping in mind that quality will always be a price worth paying. The products are hand crafted in the same factory as some of the luxe fashion houses.
The ‘Sahara’ collection features a collar, a leash, and a harness – all made of REACH certified, ultra-luxurious grain leather, and marine-grade stainless steel hardware used for yachts. The focus on quality is consistent with the fact that the leather for the products comes from the same tannery as Hermès, a brand known for their exquisite handbags.
Pagerie’s vision with their new launch is a design that enhances the beauty of animals in their natural form with brilliant accessories that will last through time and still retain their impeccable design.
The brand’s designs take inspiration from the world of couture, with an emphasis on craftsmanship and minimalist restraint.
The collection consists of The Babbi harness, The Dorro collar, and The Tascher leash.
The design for Babbi harness takes after a saddle and is made to sit comfortably on the pet’s back with an added layer of quilt padding to keep the animal warm and cosy without being too heavy.
The Dórro collar is designed to be a perfect fit around the furry friend’s neck without feeling restrictive, thanks to the adjustable buckles of the collar. For convenience in terms of taking it on or off, the collar has a turnlock, which operates with just a twist.
And lastly, the leash from the Sahara collection is a lead, which functions in three different adjustable lengths, depending on whether it is to walk your pet or even for a bit more leeway. The Tascher also comes with a matching doggie bag pouch.
As mentioned on the brand’s website, the harness is priced at USD 720, the leash at USD 520, and the Dorro collar at USD 380, making it the cheapest in the collection.
Talking about the design, Kelley says, “I wanted to merge something that represented me, but also something that had not been done before. Something I was personally looking for as a dog owner, that was something of quality that I could invest in. Similar to buying a handbag”.
The three products have been made out of vegetable tanned leather, exuding elegance throughout, with every stitch precisely judged to add reinforcement.
With these luxury accessories, Pagerie offers dog lovers a chance to flaunt their immaculate sense of fashion while they walk their companions, who the brand believes ‘need to look their best’.
