Preciosa Lighting unveils a mesmerising dance of crystals and light at Euroluce 2025

Following the success of Czech Republic-based crystal manufacturer Preciosa’s immersive installations for Fuorisalone in 2023 and 2024, the brand exhibits its new collection, Crystal Links, at Salone del Mobile.Milano’s Euroluce and a cutting-edge visualisation tool, the Preciosa Signature Design Generator. At Stand D02, Pavilion 4, during Milan Design Week 2025, the Preciosa Signature Design Generator is available to test alongside four physical architectural set-ups, showcasing the options for customisation, flexibility and versatility of Preciosa’s Signature Designs. The generator allows designers and architects to make quick modifications in just a few seconds, helping clients visualise different lighting design options from Preciosa’s Signature Designs. Each architectural set-up on Preciosa’s stand demonstrates the adaptability and impact of one of four Signature Designs, including the brand-new Crystal Links, Raw Crystal, Crystal Grid and Crystal Pixels.

Crystal Links

Preciosa introduces Crystal Links to its growing Signature Designs collection, a curated and customisable range of lighting solutions with unlimited compositions. Crystal Links is a lighting concept informed by the structure and fluidity of urban landscapes and the geometric precision of modern architecture. Inspired by the glowing windows and bustling streets of metropolitan life, it combines sleek metal tubes with hand-crafted Bohemian crystal bicones. The metal tubes denote a bustling city’s intersections of roads, places and people, while the bicones are inspired by the glowing windows of apartments amidst a city’s rush.

Comprising a crisscross composition of illuminated beams, Crystal Links’s crystal bicones work using Preciosa’s ‘injected light’ technique, whereby a specially designed LED chip directs light into the edges of the bicone. Light reflects off bubbles or hand-made cuts in the crystal and an inner silvering layer amplifies these reflections. Clients can choose from various static white, tunable white or RGBW options to suit the requirements of the installation. Each of these options is powered by Preciosa’s specialised LED chips and unique controller system using slim two-core cables to minimise clutter.

Preciosa’s Signature Designs collection, which includes the new Crystal Links design, offers clients the freedom to tailor scales, compositions, hand-made cuts of components, materials, surface finishes, construction principles and illumination methods, supporting the personal style and architectural context.

Michael Vasku and Andreas Klug, creative directors of Preciosa, describe the ethos of the collection as grounded in a celebration of urban landscapes with limitless possibilities. “Crystal Links is about embracing the energy and rhythm of the city. It captures the nocturnal symphony of urban life, reflecting the beauty of connectivity and the dance of light in a world that never sleeps,” informs Vasku. Klug adds, “This is one of our most expressive designs to date. It celebrates the intersection of light and geometry, offering limitless possibilities for composition and customisation. Preciosa Signature Design Generator

Debuting at the design week, Preciosa Signature Design Generator is an innovative product generator that enhances the lighting configuration process through automation technology. The software has been developed by GPD, an Austria-based design generation company, with Preciosa being the first company to use the tool in the industry.

When using the tool, architects and interior designers can express their requirements for a lighting solution for any space or scale, be they aesthetic, functional, or budget-related, using any of Preciosa’s Signature Designs. The generator uses this information to automatically produce suitable product design suggestions, which can be further customised.

The Preciosa Signature Design Generator taking stage at the design festival in Milan is a supplementary design tool that enhances the precision, speed and quality of design specifications. It streamlines the design and consultation process through real-time 3D generation and visualisation.
