Suspended between the sea and the Mediterranean scrubland, the new residence in Ibiza, Spain—an expression of Italian brand Visionnaire’s stylistic vision—introduces a new language of living and marks a stylistic evolution for the brand. A harmonious dialogue between nature, tradition and contemporary design gives life to a villa that interprets its landscape and celebrates the Mediterranean lifestyle.
The architectural concept, designed by Antonio Baroncelli, co-founder of the MetroArea Architetti Associati studio, gives rise to an organic structure, articulated across multiple levels that follow the natural contours of the hillside.
Large glass walls slide along the volumes like light membranes, bringing light, greenery and sky into the interiors. The architecture adapts to the terrain, integrating it seamlessly and naturally into the project. The private residence reinterprets Mediterranean heritage through a contemporary lens: the central patio recalls the ancient Roman impluvium and collects rainwater, which flows down a waterfall and into a stream that connects the two outdoor pools. Moreover, canopies and hanging gardens create continuity between indoor and outdoor spaces, revisiting traditional island elements with minimalist elegance.
The residential design is spread across three levels. On the ground floor, the master suite and six guest bedrooms are arranged around green patios, adjacent to the main pool. The first floor houses the living room, dining room, kitchen, a bedroom and a fitness and wellness area, along with a second pool design. The upper level features a panoramic sleeping area that opens onto a belvedere with views of the Gulf of Ibiza.
Within this brutalist setting, dominated by concrete and wood, Visionnaire presents a new idea of living: free, inclusive and timeless. Highlighted are some of the brand’s hero product designs, such as the Babylon Rack Circle system, the Kerwan table, the Aubade bed by Alessandro La Spada and the armchairs Shibari by Studiopepe and Aries by Draga & Aurel.
“We were immediately struck by the island’s character: the power of the sea, of nature, the deep green of the Mediterranean scrubland,” says Eleonore Cavalli, creative director of the brand. “This residence translates that landscape into a coherent project, where Italian savoir faire meets an international vision,” she adds.
In this spirit, the brand’s expressive language evolves, while retaining the timeless charm and artisanal excellence that define its identity. The aesthetic becomes more contemporary, with a warm, neutral material and colour palette. Satin finishes, luminous yet enveloping hues and a carefully selected range of sustainable materials—including fabrics and leathers—convey a new concept of luxury, able to resonate with an increasingly broad audience.
Throughout its oeuvre, the Italian brand has breathed life into spaces that weaves luxury and comfort. Previous projects such as Here Comes the Sun, and interventions within Zlota 44 skyscrapers and the Kaidijinzuo skyscraper echo this unwavering ethos of commitment to contemporary living, buttressed by design, sustainability and innovation.
