Poland, a country with a rich historical heritage and endless natural treasures, is now, more than ever at the geographical and cultural intersection of Eastern and Western Europe. Unlike other European capitals, Warsaw has a contemporary tone, matched by its historic architecture, and is also one of the most skyscraper-rich cities in the European Union. This time the protagonist, is a new addition to Warsaw's dazzling urban skyline.
Visionnaire's distinctive style, standing on the foundation of experimentation with materials, volumes of unexpected poise, and inimitable motifs is reflected in the Zlota 44 project. Highlighting contemporary design, Visionnaire, with this project, has reaffirmed its exceptional ability to design spaces with outstanding sartorial craftsmanship.
Completed in 2016, Zlota 44 is a 52-storey skyscraper architecture in the heart of Warsaw, 192 metres high, with 287 flats ranging from mini-apartments of 60 sqm to large flats of over 200 sqm and penthouses of 1,000 sqm. Residents can swim in the 25-metre pool, relax in the massage room and sauna, and step into the cellar that houses a collection of 10,000-bottle wines. The building also houses meeting rooms, a golf simulator, a private cinema, and a children's playscape, for residents to use at their leisure.
The interior design of the living room, in this flat, is a continuation of the deconstructive language of the building itself, with its fair-faced concrete columns and ceilings, while the flooring is seamless and elegantly crafted from solid wood. Contemporary furniture design adorns the apartment with a compact modular sofa Denzel, complemented by the mirrored low table Acer, which appears to be almost an extension of the floor-to-ceiling window and is further enhanced by a specially personalised mirrored sideboard on the other side, conveying a youthful and contemporary attitude with minimalist lines and a single material. The linear structure of the floor lamp Alpha gives the space a visually strong sense of balance, with staggered straight lines and rounds.
What else comes to your mind when you think of Poland? Is it the legendary musician Chopin? Or the Oscar-winning film, The Pianist? Behind a pair of blue Rosemary sofas and chairs, a nine-foot Steinway grand piano shines, hinting at the homeowner's extraordinary musicality.
Through the foyer and open kitchen, the chair design of a pair of dark blue Clem armchairs echoes the sky outside the window, with a Moka coffee pot and two cups, to enjoy the tranquillity of a secluded spot, concealed away. Not far away, in front of the 180-degree panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows, a Klipper looks as if it is welcoming its owner home.
Entering the bedroom, the star of the space is the Palau bed, which is available in both wide and narrow shapes to suit the volume of different spaces. The headboard resembles six large cushions with a top-to-bottom tri-fold curvature to fit the back of the body, while the checkered wallpaper on the wall sets off the grey velvet bed. The headboard Rondò continues the visual language of the living room with its mirrored surface, giving the bedroom a more airy feel.
Reach for the sky and become a part of the city's skyline. Visionnaire creates urban comfort for visionaries.
