Pilates, founded in the 1920s by Joseph Pilates, is a form of exercise known to improve flexibility, posture and strength through controlled movements and a deeper understanding and awareness of the body. Channelling over four decades of experience in fitness and wellness design, Italian brand Technogym unveils Technogym Reform, a product that redefines the Pilates experience by merging aesthetics and innovative design through technology. Developed in collaboration with expert Pilates instructors, the product design is intuitive, versatile and accessible for people of all age groups and fitness levels.
Founded in 1983 by wellness visionary Nerio Alessandri, who designed the company’s first-ever equipment in his garage in Cesena, Italy, Technogym transformed from a small-scale startup to the leading wellness brand it is today. It provides customised, timeless Italian design solutions for a variety of sectors, from fitness clubs, hotels, spas and rehabilitation centres to private homes, corporate gyms, universities and professional sports facilities. Since its inception, Technogym has embodied the philosophy of wellness and overall well-being, encouraging a positive mental attitude and a balanced lifestyle comprising regular exercise and healthy eating.
The components of Technogym Reform, such as the headrest, shoulder pads, foot bar and springs, offer quick and easy adjustments to ensure optimal body control and smooth transitions between exercises. The design is available in three colour variations—sandstone, pearl grey and diamond black—to complement various environments, making it a device fit for both commercial and residential use. Crafted from wood, aluminium and vegan leather, Technogym Reform ensures a sustainable design that does not compromise on performance and quality. While the high-performance marine ropes add stability and durability to the build, the ergonomic design prioritises comfort and functionality for an elevated experience.
Additionally, the Technogym application features on-demand videos to cater to various fitness levels and goals, facilitating a guided, connected and immersive Pilates experience for the users according to their convenience.
Technogym Reform is on view at the Salone del Mobile.Milano 2025 from April 8 – 13, 2025, at the Rho Fiera Milano fairgrounds.
